Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi is the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci aged six. The first time she competed was at The National Junior Championships which she finished 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she took home the title. At her first international contest in 1972, she won the event having won three golds. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The year was 1976 when she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman to ever dismount bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, she began performing in travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol's first job was in entertainment during her teenage year. She started her career as a figure skater, performing alongside her sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating that included theatrical performances.
